Dileep is experimenting by trying to do something different in his latest film Kunjikoonan. He is doing his first double role and one is that of a handicap with a heart of gold and the other, of a basketball coach.
Kunjan (Dileep) is a handicap with a hunch-back (koonu). He owns an STD booth in the small village Ramankari, where he lives. People call him Kunjikoonan. Like any other young man Kunjan also has his dreams of getting married, but he knows well that none of the girls would like him. So what he does is to go and see the girls and reject them before they do. Kunjans best friend Chandran (Salim Kumar) owns a light and sound shop near his shop. During this time a gypsy circus team comes to the village and a blind girl Chembakam (Navya Nair) starts liking Kunjan.
The film is produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner of Supreme Films and is directed by Sasi Sankar. The cast also includes Manya, Spadikam George, Saikumar, Cochin Haneefa, Nedumudi Venu and Bindu Panikkar. The story and screenplay is by Benny and the music director is Mohan Sitara.
